Re: To Those Gifted in the Martial Arts [To Those Invited]

Post by Tsurino Kaguya on Mon 20 Feb 2012, 9:51 am

As he eyes met hers Tsurino sighed and shook her head. Lazy, un-exsorcised pigeons?
She couldn't have asked for a better response that justified his own laziness. Oh well, it could not be helped oh a person like Sagumi. Her petite smile faded as he turned her around and moved her back towards the group her eyes snapping open and she moved quickly away from him as he touched her. Tsurino's hand snapped back to push his own away from her backside. This movement was fluid and gentle but stern, she was not here to be harassed by him. Tsurino came to learn from this man, not allow him to manhandle her.

The thought made her shiver and she hugged her sides tightly and turned to face him. She listened to his words as he addressed all of them with the same off handed casual. Her eyes began to move towards the people she was paired in group Sei with. All of these people she had never met before, or seen before. One man looked laid back whiel the other seemed to be presenting himself as seriously as possible. The seriousness of the others soaked into the air and she shook her head slightly as Sagumi dismissed them all warning them again that they could leave at anytime. She was a quiet serious person but she knew Sagumi was no such man.

Shrugging her grey top over her shoulders once more Tsurino let out a small sigh as she pondered what she would do. Should she live in this dorm with the others, or walk the mile back to her home everyday? It was curious how she lived so close to this area. But she had to reason to return to her home, there was only empty rooms to greet her. Perhaps the new environment will be healthy for her. Yet even when she thought of how it may help her. The idea of living with so many others made her slightly exposed and uncomfortable. This would certainly take some getting used to.

Yes, She would stay here. The knowledge that she would be surrounded by the water would hopefully help to put her at ease. As the group of students split into their separated groups and walked towards their respected rooms with a silent murmur of everything thinking different things. The air was alive with thoughts.

Tsurino's eyes flicked towards each member she was assigned with, her face composed and devoid of emotion. At the moment she did not really want to think about the people she would eventually know by name. She had known Sagumi personally but the days of him simply being the shady Perverted Calligraphist were over. He was her teacher now, and she was just like everyone else here. The only difference was that she knew him before this day. Following her comrades in toe Tsurino smiled at the lingering name. Sagumi-sensei just had a terrible ring to it.

Sagumi watched from a stationary position as his new pupils all followed their directions and went off to the rooms described to them, well at least the ones that had started moving. Some of them seemed to be a bit slower to respond than others and while it was understandable to take some time to contemplate what would soon be a rather large part of their lives. It was fair for them to want to wait awhile before fully dedicating themselves like Sagumi was asking them to. Besides, at the moment the majority of Sagumi’s attention was on the butt he managed to feel up and how she cutely fled the scene of the crime and off toward the place he told her to go. Sagumi however wasn’t slow and he wasn’t unobservant, he noticed the flickers on people’s faces, flickers of disapproval, one of them even full blown winced at the sight. That was just something they were going to have to get used to it would seem. Sagumi would try to dial it back, but it certainly wasn’t always going to be possible. Tsurino was too much fun to tease.

Then another voice pervaded his senses as his attention slowly shifted down to the girl before him. He had paid attention to her after her question and her reaction was somewhat puzzling to him. Sagumi was not the most empathetic person and he had trouble piecing together the pieces of the puzzle when it dealt with out people’s emotions. She had asked a relevant question, yet she backed away…almost in shame. It was not something Sagumi fully understood while watching her. To flip back and forth between the audacity to question her potential sensei in front of a group of people and then shying away from any possible judgment was, well, confusing. It’s as if her personality had changed. A tempered tongue was important though and it was a boon that she can learn when the proper time for audacity was.

As she came up, spoke, and extended her hand to her, Sagumi finally put the pieces of the puzzle together for why she was so odd to him. Something had been bugging him about her stance ever since he first laid eyes on her and as much as he was an enigma to her, the girl was a mystery to him. Most of what he knew about her was from horridly incomplete dossiers that only cited the girl’s name, unconfidently in regards to accuracy as well. Sagumi had a gut feeling though when he saw what little information he had and he was happy she showed up. The more he watched her and noticed the most subtle of irregularities; he began to piece together what had been irking him about the girl. Instead of taking her hand, Sagumi extended his left one and held it out in front of him until she accepted the hand shake with her left.

“Sumashuu Sagumi, Seven Swordsmen of the Mist and the acting Mizukage.”

Re: To Those Gifted in the Martial Arts [To Those Invited]

Post by Keita on Mon 20 Feb 2012, 9:38 pm

Masato was wondering whether or not to accept the gracious offer from a Seven Swordsman, as he was going to get the opportunity to train directly under him with a bunch of other students. It would be almost like an advanced version of the academy, only this time they would be in a dormitory like setting. This was going to be very fun, and the only reason that he didn't jump up at the opportunity, was Sunataun. He wanted to help all of the people there, and would need to go back and forth between them if he really wanted to. It was going to be a bit more difficult than most, but he owed it to the people of Suna, as it was his home for a great while. He was going to talk about it to Sagumi, as he would probably accept it, considering he did say that they could leave and travel, as long as they were there for training and anything important it seemed.

As the other people immediately got up and left the room, Masato simply stayed, watching. The girl walked up to him, and h introduced himself to her as a Seven Swordsman, and the active Mizukage. Well, this was definitely a surprise, as there were only a small amount of people here now, but then again, Masato wasn't sure if this was public information to those who lived in Kirigakure, or if it was a spring of the moment deal, and it was new to even the man that it effected. Masato wondered what he should do actually, as he wondered if the Mizukage would have enough time to train this many students, considering there were rumors of some sort of treaty and war between Tengakure, but then again, rumors were rumors, and he shouldn't believe everything, just for the chance of falsified information.

Now, the last thing to do before his final decision, was to meet the man. If someone was going to be teaching you, that was a special kind of bond that would be formed. Someone is giving you their knowledge, which will shape you into a much better and more prepared person. Masato held the ideals of a knight, and meeting someone who was going to be shaping the rest of your life was definitely important. Masato stood up, and then walked over to Sagumi. He would make sure to let the two finish their speech, as he hated to interrupt. He would wait, his sword strapped to his back, making him seem taller than he was, which was already a clear 6 feet tall. After their talk, Masato would simply get slightly closer, and put his right hand out, so that they could shake hands.

"Midorikawa Masato. I feel that proper introductions should be made, considering you might well shape the rest of my life, err... I'm not sure if I should call you sensei, or Mizukage-sama" Masato had a large smile on his face, as was his personality. His hand shake as well was firm, but wasn't meant to have any sort of strength competition with the master, considering he would definitely lose. He was a bit old school in the terms of manners, but he enjoyed being polite and proper towards people. Even though this person was smaller than him, and appeared to be around the same age, that just added to his skill. Being able to rise to Mizukage at such a young age was amazing, considering he knew the Shuhansan as a cranky old man, but perhaps that was simply because he had been Shuhansan for as long as Masato could look back into Suna history.

Re: To Those Gifted in the Martial Arts [To Those Invited]

Post by Lanfan on Tue 21 Feb 2012, 5:38 am

LanFan would ponder the boy backslash man's actions that seemed so outlandish when compared to the common courtesy of simply accepted her handshake. Though, despite the apparently rudeness of his action, LanFan could not help but smile. Without much hesitation she would alter her hand and would take his. Behind her shake would be a strength that showed she had strength in seemingly fragile body and would also convey the raging fire that burned within. She would study him now that they were closer, appraising his oddly red colored hair that seemed to take on the hue of blood. Entirely entranced by the odd nature of their meeting as well as his peculiar attitude. As she thought about the intricacies of fate and what deities possessed her to be here at this exact time to arrive at this place, LanFan realized with a hint of embarrassment that she had made two errors. One, was that she held Sagumi's hand for an unnatural period of time, long enough that it would become apparently awkward, and secondly she realized that she had forgotten to mention her last name to the Mizukage. Then with that, the realization hit her as if a large man had punched her in the stomach, in which case it caused her to feel a cold sweat itch down her back. Quickly though, ignoring her earlier foolishness she would release Sagumi's hand, giving a smile that she knew was bound to be even more awkward. However to save her from that someone else approached at this point in time. Before the male arrived LanFan would speak quickly, in a hushed tone "It is nice to meet you....oh...and my last name is Higyou..sorry I didn't mention it." Though she had made sure to time the comment with the boy's arrival so that when he arrived the topic of conversation would gravitate towards teh new arrival, perhaps saving her from addressing the earlier awkwardness of the prolonged handshake, and for that she was grateful. While the boy introduced himself, she would simply wait to see if he would also address her. At the moment she was stewing about her social awkwardness, which left her unawares of any traditional courtesies.

Re: To Those Gifted in the Martial Arts [To Those Invited]

Post by Akira Shin on Tue 21 Feb 2012, 11:27 pm

Akira would merely listen to the man as he stood up and talked to his new students. He was more concerned about figuring as much about him as he possibly could at the moment. He had all the time in the world to learn about the people he was going to be staying with later. However unfortunately there seemed to not be able much he could decipher from this short speech. It made sense when you thought about it, there was only so much you could learn from watching a person walk around and talking. Still there was a bit one could pay close attention too. Their speech patterns, how they handled themselves and quite possibly even their temperament could be determined. When it was all done it appeared that they were split into two groups. Akira simply thought about these groups, and figured maybe this could end up being like a game at times. Splitting them up meant that it was possible he viewed them as far too different to all teach together. However there was quite a few of them in the building, it could also be that he thought they were too big as a singular group. Also being split up meant that maybe he people in the same group worked similarly. It would be interesting to see the different kinds of people that were here.

After hearing is name called Akira stood up. but he did not immediately leave. He simply wanted to look around just a bit first, see if maybe people would reveal something about themselves. Maybe even approach the man and ask their own questions. Akira was not the kind of person to begin openly poking around in someone else's business, he'd rather learn that kind without directly talking to them. When you had a conversation with another person it was give and take. You get information and give information, assuming you play your cards right you may learn more than you give. However unless you were a convincing liar it was generally even. Walking towards the door for the students of Dou Akira took a small detour. Towards Sagumi and seemingly the small group around him. He didn't approach the man nor anybody in the group themselves. No, he decided to be a little more discrete, about it. At the very least in his mind this seemed discrete. Stopping for a second and looking at Sagumi a few feet away he would size him up. Looking at the type of person he was and physical features. Body build, height anything you could get from looking. He also kept an ear to the conversation, he couldn't hear every little thing. However he did manage to pick up a name or too. There wasn't much it seemed mostly like formal greetings. He couldn't get much more than that, however thats all he felt he needed. To anybody focused on Akira they might see a smile appear under the shadow of his hood before he continued walking. It was time to see who else was here, maybe in the end he may decide to meet a person or two.

Sagumi’s suspicions were quickly confirmed as the girl extended her left for the handshake and as his hand closed around hers, he knew that the arm was not organic. That was the irregularity in her steps, regardless of how trained she was it wasn’t possible to completely mask that one arm wasn’t the same weight as the other. Part of the reason it took Sagumi so long to figure out was because her left arm was the lighter one, but it wasn’t the one she seemed to favor. Normally synthetic replacements for limbs were heavier, but this one broke from conventionality which was always something Sagumi appreciated. He’d return to that later as he smiled warmly down at her as she stuttered over her last name, something he already knew as he called it out, but Sagumi didn’t really mind the cute, if shy, mannerisms of the girl. Was she not used to a hand shake or did she think he was trying to hurt her with it? What an odd girl. Sagumi didn’t push her apparent weakness for social situations though and as she backed away shyly, only gave her a small little wink to let her know all was well before turning his attention to the larger boy who approached him.

Sagumi took his hand and gave it a nice shake, breaking away faster than he had for the girl as he didn’t see much a reason to examine a perfectly human, albeit armor covered hand. He smiled warmly, not quite as warmly as he had smiled at Lanfan, she was a woman after all and Sagumi was rather open about the fact that he’d be playing favorites in that regard, at least for how they were treated, but still smiled warmly in response all the same. His question was an amusing one to say the least. Sagumi was recently thrust in to the position of Mizukage and he was certainly not prepared for the position of Mizukage, not in the slightest and being called as such would only feel weird and awkward. Granted, he wasn’t much prepared to be considered a teacher either as the only other forays in to the world of education he’d had was handing some kids a scroll and teaching Karite some basic Sumashuu techniques. He wasn’t prepared for what he was undertaking here anymore and probably less so than the kids around him were. Still, he was more prepared to handle this as a teacher than as a Kage, at least at this school.

“On this island, Sensei or Hanshi if you feel like sucking up will be fine, Masato. I’m happy you could make it. Now if two would be so kind as to take your creepy teammate there down to the Dou room, I will be with you both shortly after I square the other group away. Then we’ll get started with your education.”

Sagumi nodded to both Masato and Lanfan as he spoke before turning around and following the Sei group up and out of the observation room, letting the other three get situated with each other and move downstairs. They were going to be dealing with each other for awhile, they best get used to it early.

As Sagumi winked at her, she would reply by flashing her pearly whites, a wolfish grin upon her face. The reaction would be fleeting, so quick that if one were not playing close attention the action may have gone unnoticed at all. This action would prelude to a bashfulness that was not previously present. However it could only be attributed to Sagumi's own bashfulness, for LanFan was only slightly playful due to the kind reaction. It was simple cause and effect, and soon enough she would find herself in even more awkward situations which would probably not end as well as this encounter had. Thinking back on all that had occurred recently , she realized that she was happier than was originally thought possible. If you had seen her a few weeks ago, there would have been an empty shell devoid of all emotion and any kind of response to human contact. After all, she had just recently lost everything she had ever known. Eager to be rid of the dismal thoughts about her past, she would busy herself with the study of the boy standing next to her. Whereupon Sagumi would leave, this would cause her to be alone with Masato. There was a likelihood that they both knew one anothers names, but it was only proper to use one anotehrs names when the introductions were given by the owners of the names. So, with that courtesy in mind LanFan would give her best smile and offer her right hand, saying "Hullo, I'm LanFan Higyou, pleasure to meet you.

Re: To Those Gifted in the Martial Arts [To Those Invited]

Post by Coconutly on Wed 22 Feb 2012, 7:14 am

The cool misty breeze tussled Hisoka's feathered white hair, toying with the loose, open flaps of his vest. His chest was bare and toned. He twiddled a rolled up piece of paper between his fingers as he walked a path aimed at the ocean. The paper held a message from the new Mizukage - the perverted ginger that Hisoka had met on the escort mission to Sanringakure - Sagumi. Hisoka did not approve of Sagumi's promotion to Mizukage in the slightest. This did not mean the white haired genin thought any less of the man's power. He knew better then to underestimate him; the last first time they had met taught Hisoka not to do that. It was because of that interaction that Hisoka thought Sagumi was not fit to run a village. Too unpredictable and arrogant. Also, Hisoka was sure that Sagumi did not like him, so he was quite shocked and confused as to why he would invite Hisoka to be a part of his training program. Despite all this, he had in fact been invited so why not take the opportunity to train with someone that possessed similar skills to Hisoka?

Before long Hisoka had arrived at his destination. The letter had instructed him to go to the light house at the Eye of Hiz - a familiar place for Hisoka. He went to the island often to be alone and train. He had no idea that the island was actually being used for anything until now. The light house stood tall, covered in mist and years of wear and tare from the harsh crash of the waves against the solid structure. He approached the heavy double doors, grabbing the handles and swinging the open with great force. As the doors flew open they hit the sides of the room with a crash, making it quite obvious that he had entered the room and that should be all that mattered. His over powering arrogance and over all aura disrupted any peace that was once there.

His eyes darted from one end of the empty room to the next until they rested on a door that was cracked open a bit. He marched over to the door and pushed it open into a hallway lined with candles. He almost laughed as he noted the cheesy display. Candles? Really? Hisoka grinned and shook his head as he marched through the once tranquil hallway and through yet another cracked door into yet another empty room. His eye brows furrowed as he glared around the room cautiously moving through the center to the other side. What the hell? Where is everyone? Hisoka thought taking a couple more steps toward the open door on the other side of the room. He knew he was late but he thought for sure the meeting would still be in session. Then he heard fading voices echoing through the corridors that divided the room. One led to the upper part of the large building while the other aimed down into the lower quarters. One was on the left and one on the right. Hisoka didn't pause long to contemplate and took the corridor to the left.

This experience was going to be very interesting and different for Hisoka. He wasn't good with other people in any situation, especially battle situations, and therefore never really worked with others - not well at least. His loud mouth, inflated ego, and overpowering crudeness irritated most to the point where they would completely avoid him or engage in a fight. Either way, now he was going to have to learn to get along and play nice with the others - including his new sensei.

Masato laughed at Sagumi's comment about if he wanted to suck up to him by addressing him as Hanshi, considering sucking up is for people who can't stand on their own to feet. "Sensei will be fine then." Masato said with a light chuckle, before stretching. The man would go to the Sei group's room, and Masato would start walking towards the Dou door, where he was assigned, but was stopped by a voice. It was a girl, saying hello to him, and introducing herself once again. The young girl that also gave the sensei a nice hand shake, hmm? He was going to enjoy sparring and training with these people, they seemed like a good bunch of students. Competitive rivalry, instead of trying to crush each other seemed like a very good time indeed.

"Greetings Lanfan, I am Midorikawa Masato, and it's a great pleasure to meet you." He would extend his rather large hand, looking down to the woman's face, and although she seemed a bit strange, she was most likely very proud of herself, and was going to be fun to hang out with. Masato then looked, and there were very little people left. "Whoops, we don't want to fall behind, we better get to the Dou room, eh?" Masato suggested, then walked over into the Dou group's door. The heavy armor he was wearing making clunking noises as he moved, and the sound echoed around the room and the hallways as he did so. His sword attached to his back again since he couldn't have the large sword attached while he was sitting down.

LanFan would smile at Masato as he spoke to her, and then with a nod of her head she would silently agree as he suggested that they should not be left behind. LanFan would focus her attention upon the sword at his back, studying it out of curiosity as she placed her hands inside the pockets of her black pants. She would begin to whistle a tune as they walked towards the door labeled for the Dou students. She sensed several presences that she could not see, but would otherwise ignore them. Once Masato pushed the door open for their entry, she would catch it before it closed and would walk inside, whistling all the while.
