Traveling to the Fire Nation [Oahiz]

Post by Ashuradō(Four) on Sat 28 Jan - 0:06

"I don't particularly enjoy such dirty work." The Kage would begin to speak to his guard while crossing his arms over his chest. Sinking his head into his high collar, the boy would look towards the open waters with a slight annoyed look upon his face. "I don't really understand what's going on here, but Tenga broke their treaty with that attack. You know that means it could have been an act of war, Sagumi. We could be walking into a trap here, so if anything were to happen I want you to head back to the village. I'll cover your exit." The pale faced boy would nod to himself before narrowing his eyes in thought. "I've seen war before. It's not pretty..and it's not something I want to get Kirigakure involved in. However, I believe something more is going on. The Hyuuga spoke of a village..A village named Sanringakure, not Tengakure. This new..village could be the cause of his actions. Perhaps Tenga will be just as confused as us. Perhaps a new treaty will need to be formed in the ashes of the old." The boy wasn't sure exactly how he would deal with Qilin, if he were still the one to pull the strings like before. Little did he know, the sister to the man had taken control from the shadows. It was going to be an interesting trip..

Sagumi did not feel particularly bald enough for a journey to the fire nation, but if he had some blue paint he'd be drawing lines on his body as they sailed. He would need to remember that, next time they go on a trip, he would have to remember to bring blue paint. He'd also need to learn to shoot air currents, oh curses this was just no use. It was only at this point in the boy's blue painted fantasy that he realized Taski was talking. Sagumi's head craned up at his fearless leader as he spoke of the ramifications of their visit and Sagumi could only laugh. A pretty boisterous laugh too that the entire crew could hear and given Taski's disposition, probably pissed him off.

"Oh...wow Boss man. You're hilarious. I just punched a guy in half and you're think I'm scared of a little fire, oh that's rich. Tengakure, Sanringakure, it doesn't matter. You're the Mizukage, with that comes responsibility. If you go there, you're already getting Kirigakure involved. And as a Kirigakure shinobi, I'm relieving everyone that comes after you with their lives. Besides, you're getting me a jar of blue paint for every bastard I kill. You owe me one so far."

Taski would blink a few times at the man before closing his eyes and letting a smile spread across his face. "..Shut up. You're too reckless. You didn't even need to punch Hodaka in half..Though I must say, that punch of yours..is dangerous. You shouldn't ever use it again, unless you're willing to die." The Ourouh would shift his head to look towards the mainland now coming into view. They were almost there to the destination. For some reason, a sour taste was filling his mouth. Closing one eye, he would focus on his mind to speak to the monster behind the gates. The Yamata no Orochi hated any dealings to do with Amatsu or his people. He also hated the fact the boy was relying on Qilin's power in combat, and how he had obtained a curse seal that did nothing but zap the powers of the Yamata for his own benefit. The throbbing headache of displeasure would cause Taski to place a hand on his forehead. "Well either way..The faster we're done with this..the faster we can get back home. I really don't like the Fire Country. It's a pain.."

"Aww, come on boss man! Don't be like that. I'm sure I can control it better next time. Just gotta practice. I'm sure I'll only break half the bones in my body next time."

It was a false bravado. Sagumi had never used a Super Smash that powerful before and if weren't for an apparent miracle of god, he'd probably be stuck operating with one arm right now. Taski was right, he needed to be careful with that technique. Of course, the time would come that Sagumi wouldn't be given a choice. Sometimes, stuff just needed to be punched. Sagumi gently pushed off the railing as Taski's hand went to his head. Sagumi had always figured something weird was up with his Mizukage, he was way too grouchy for any healthy young man his age, but the more time he spent with him, the more time he felt his attitude was almost merited. It was a shame to see him in so much pain.

"I'm sure we'll be home before you know it, boss man. Might even find a pretty girl to lighten up that grouchiness."

Re: Traveling to the Fire Nation [Oahiz]

Post by Tsurino Kaguya on Sat 28 Jan - 2:17

The door from the lower bowels of the ship with a soft creak and Tsurino stepped out quickly, her eyes cast down to the ground as she tried not to look at the endless span of blue before them. Choosing instead to focus on the small line of thick green forest that showed the end of the aquatic portion of their journey. Not a moment to soon in her mind they needed to get off this ship and back on dry land. Her dislike for water was foolish but she always had trouble swimming in water as a child, that thought alone was enough to make her weary of the deep blue. However the other reason was that she could feel with each swell, and her body shift and try to adapt to keep balance, moving on a ship that moved itself would also have a degree of difficulty since she would prefer to avoid the water. But as she caught sight of the blue ocean she wondered if she should return to the lower sections of the boat and try to forget that she was surrounded by water.

They had been traveling for the past hour and a half and yet the Kaguya had hardly said any words to the Mizukage or Sagumi. Why was that man on this ship? She had a feeling he was powerful but so powerful he was on comfortable terms with the Mizukage? That was not something she was expecting. Why did it have to be that man who had to be on a ship with her? He had pointed out her flaws with ease. The idea of showing him the hint of fear towards water would only solidify that she was weak. And Tsurino would not accept herself as weak, she couldn't.

For the moment she was unsure if she was needed, or if she should ask. They were on a ship in the middle of the ocean, the only ninja that would be able to attack them from the water would have to be from their own village so the chances of being attacked while in the water were slim. So she hung back and leaned against the wall looking out at the strip of green that slowly grew in size. She wanted to speak with Sagumi but she did not want to cause trouble. She did not want to bring to attention that she had met him before.

Inoshi crouched, lurking in the shadows. He was not trying to be secretive about his apparent kneeling position. Inoshi hand's had long been touching the small flap of his deck card box that was held on his leg in the same way that kunai holsters were held on the leg. His index finger tapped the top card ever so slightly, sometimes falling back, and others pressing against it. The info cards were on both of the other individuals. He had been listening. Listening to the powerful ninja talk about their past experience as if it were nothing. What was more, Inoshi had heard more than he had thought, and was thinking about nothing more than getting some time to himself with the kage to ask about his most prized research subject - Kuro. The woman that was related to Hisoka by some kind of bond. They both used paper, and both claimed the same last name. Their eyes were similar.

Pictures, speech patterns, talk about the man's arm and steady physical power - all things that were entered in the data cards within Inoshi's pockets. It was interesting that a boy that seemed not much older than Inoshi himself was at the level that he was at. It was said that he was a demon on the battle field, powerful and incredibly fast. Inoshi liked the idea of, one day, being like that, and being able to claim such a title. But he had a different style of fighting. He was never going to be the kind of fighter that could easily confront an opponent with hand to hand combat and intense ninjutsu to overpower the target. He battled with his mind. It was different. Inoshi's natural thought flowed in order to form the opinion that the man that the Mizukage was talking to used taijutsu at a very high level. Someone that was able to punch a man in half, and speak on par with the Mizukage at such a casual level must be powerful.

Inoshi hopped from his small perch in the complex workings of the ship, and stood tall, stretching. His clothes were simple. A purple shirt, the color of the Yamanaka, that was slightly V necked in the front bent with quality fabric until black, fitted pants wrapped his legs. At numerous points small kunai and shuriken holsters wrapped around his legs - including his data card information.

Hisoka leaned against the bow of the ship. His arms - folded over one another - pressed against the solid wood, supporting his weight. He observed the deep blue water that rushed by the boat as it plowed through the sea. Hisoka enjoyed the water. The way it moved, the power that it possessed. But he mainly took interest in it because it was one of his weaknesses in battle. His Kekkei Genkai was easily canceled out by water attacks. The sky had began to clear as they traveled further from the mist village. It was the first time Hisoka had traveled outside of his village. Excitement and curiosity shivered through his core as he thought about what it might be like on the mainland. He hoped that the weather would not very too much from the constant moist coolness of the mist, as he was not a fan of heat.

He observed the Mizukage standing stoically near the front of the ship. He seemed melancholy and serious, almost cynical. He held a powerful presence, despite his physical appearance. It was almost inspiring to Hisoka. This man was living proof that power is not determined age or brute. He heard the heavy wooden door to the lower parts inside the ship close followed by foot steps. He glanced over his shoulder to identify who it was. He watched Tsurino emerge fear and unease written all over her face. Hisoka chuckled at her unbalaced steps as the ship rocked from side to side. It was funny - she was always so graceful and balanced.

"Heh heh. Not so graceful now, eh Tsurino?" Hisoka shifted his position so that he was facing the girl and one elbow was leaning on the wooden side - a wide smirk bending his pale flawless face.

The boat would hit land and cause the boy to stand. He had only one more thing to say to the rest of the group before going off. "Tengakure's climate is dangerously high. Anyone who makes it to their gate will be nothing but smoldering ash unless they have a way to negate the heat. Luckily my body can withstand such heats..I don't know if I can say the same for the rest of you. Once getting in the village, I'll speak to them on getting you all in aswell. Maybe with some protective gear so you won't be so vulnerable to the extreme heat." Taski spoke with a bland tone as he would take a step on the edge of the boat and jump down to the land. He wouldn't look back to any of them, as he'd begin his advanced towards the location of the good ol Fire Nation.

The smile left Sagumi’s face as the intrepid captain disembarked from the ship. It was unfortunate, he was expecting at least some cynical and boring retort from the man but getting straight to the point…well…that was just boring. Which in retrospect was exactly what Sagumi was expecting but the cynicism just wasn’t where he wanted it to be. Not where it should be. Sagumi had never seen Taski this worried before and that alone scared him. He wasn’t scared of Tengakure, there was no way that village had Taski worried as much as it did, no. There was definitely something else and Sagumi couldn’t begin to fathom what that possibly could be. If it was as frightening as Taski portrayed it to be, why did he bring these kids anyway? As much as he enjoyed seeing the Kaguya’s pretty little bone structure again, and he could tell by the paralyzed look of shock on her face that she was ecstatic at their chance meeting on the boat. Sagumi let out an exasperated sigh as he watched Taski step off the ship. He wasn’t lying, Tenga was hot, Sagumi had been there for a Chuunin Exam, but he didn’t need to go alone. Not being in the know was irritating. It would seem he was stuck babysitting the girl, the loudmouth and the creepy scribbler in the corner.

The creepy scribbler was on the move, but otherwise didn’t seem like he was going to cause much trouble. How condescending he was at the start of their little voyage had already more or less marked him as a potential target for mental abuse. Oh how he loved mental abuse, but as long as he remained quiet he was safe for the time being, until Taski came back, then he’d find something more fun to do with him. No, for now he’d focus on the loudmouth who was teasing the Kaguya. Sagumi did not appreciate that, if anyone was going to be picked on, it’d be him doing the picking. In a blur, faster than most Jounin could see, Sagumi vanished from the spot he was in and appeared behind the one named Hisoka, his Sagumi’s head hunched over the boy’s shoulder, his cheek but a few inches away.

“Now now now, that’s not very nice. Picking on girls is not an appropriate way to pass the time. Now unless you’re in the mood for a swim until our lord and master returns, I suggest you promptly apologize.”

No, he did not notice any hypocrisy in that statement.

Spoiler:
I'm too lazy to post everything, he's 100% faster than an S-rank presently.

((I too suffer from the same laziness of not wanting to post s***. But know that Inoshi was not writing anything. In the same way that Kabuto has data cards that he simply touches in order to input info, Inoshi has the same thing. He records everything for later use. He was not scribbling or writing anything. He was just touching the cards, and inputting information via touch.))

Inoshi smiled. He had learned about Tengakure. Although it had bored him, and because of that, he had not delved to far into it, and knew not that much about it. Only that it was true about its climate. It was not the fire nation for nothing. It was boiling hot there, someone that could not tolerate the heat would be completely rendered useless and rather burnt. But he did not mind it. He did not mind waiting for the kage to come back. In fact, he would rather that then having to move instantly after arrival. Laziness had its effects on him after all.

At once, the man that he was watching blasted into motion and moved across the deck in an instant. No. Faster than an instant. Inoshi's eyes remained open for a second before he blinked. As if the movement was nothing for the man, he came into speech behind Hisoka's head. Hisoka thought it funny that the man was picking on the white haired brat, but was confused as to what his motives of doing so were. Did him and the white haired girl know each other. Throughout the whole trip Tsurino had hardly said a word to him. Inoshi had not minded. Inoshi simply decided to watch for now, and wait for the kage to return while the powerful man had his fun with the genin underlings.

Re: Traveling to the Fire Nation [Oahiz]

Post by Tsurino Kaguya on Sat 28 Jan - 5:13

With a lurch the boat came to a halt and Tsurino bobbed slightly with it and looked feeling the urge to jump back onto the hot sands. At least there she would be out of the water. Her eyes were locked upon her Mizukage as he rose and addressed all of them. Though none of them at the same same. His words were not aimed at anyone in particular. Yet everyone understood, as he stepped off she wished she could be beside him, at least she would be on land. Hot as it may be. She had never traveled to Tengakure before, but could it actually be that scorching?

But as the Mizukage left them, she realized with internal horror that she had been left alone with the powerful man who saw all her flaws, the blond Yamaka who extorted and judged her on those flaws, and the loud hotheaded fool who blatantly insulted her without reason.

How was she supposed to work as a team with those two? Why did fate keep trying to push her and the two warring boys together. On another note why did fate keep plopping her alongside the scarlet haired man who let his gaze shift around the boat in a lazy manner. A door slammed behind her and her shoulders fell slightly. Her face fell to a look of unamused anger as Hisoka walked up to her and leaned against the side like he was born on a boat and it did not affect him at all. She looked up at him with the expression that told the white haired boy she was not in the mood to listen to his snide words.

"Heh heh. Not so graceful now, eh Tsurino?"

She was also on a boat....in the ocean. With the three men she wished to avoid. She wanted to tell him to be quiet and to leave her alone, it was not wise to talk to her because she was also angry at herself right now.
Frustrated she still had so many flaws. And that her legs were shaking even though they were in shallow water.

But suddenly as though he had always been there Sagumi appeared by Hisoka's shoulder. With the same cool grin he always seemed to have on his face, like he enjoyed every minute of bugging the hell out of other people. She expected him to tease her as well. Everyone else has. This is why she wanted to be alone, because of people like this....

“Now now now, that’s not very nice. Picking on girls is not an appropriate way to pass the time. Now unless you’re in the mood for a swim until our lord and master returns, I suggest you promptly apologize.”

He spoke cooly into Hisoka's ear and made her eyebrows rise. What was he doing? Sagumi.... He enjoyed picking out what she did. If there was ever a better time to poke at the softer marrow of her being it was now on a ship with those two Genin. Her eyes flicked up to look at Inoshi who sat lazily up in the crows nest watching the scene from way above them. As though he had found his figurative pedestal and placed himself on the highest point to watch them from above. Even while he was up there he was calculating everything, reading everyones movements and making his own judgements on them. Even now she continued to be judged.

Why was he defending her?

"I don't need an apology." She stated coldly looking not at Hisoka, but at Sagumi. Though her words were cold she was actually thankful he defended her. She didn't want to be thought of as the one who needed to be coddled because she was a girl, or because she was the weak one. She was neither. She wanted to avoid them and go back into the bowels of the ship to simply be alone.

Inoshi was not a spiteful person. He was neither here nor there. In fact, he was almost nice at some points, even to those which he viewed as inferior based on facts. However, this girl was not really one of those people, and he had not had enough time to really form a solid opinion about her. As it stood she was neither his friend, nor his enemy. Just his teammate on this mission. She was a genin with long white hair that had the ability to freely manipulate her bones in order to fight. That was all. An object. A valuable object. A fellow village member.

But the same could not be said for the hot headed and ignorant white haired boy that spoke as if he knew everything, when, in fact, he knew next to nothing. He was the one that Inoshi had taken time to know, and had not liked what he had seen. Not entirely, at least. As soon as Hisoka had made the remark, numerous interjections in the Kaguya's favor ran through Inoshi's head, but none of them became verbal action - he spoke none. He did not wish to intermingle himself in drama that had no regards to him, and he had no will to protect the girl, seeing as they were only minorly acquainted. But the red haired man had gone through with it already. As soon as the red haired man burst into high speed movement, Inoshi's hand flew to his deck box, and he touched the second to the top card, easily shifting through the two of them. The first card was the card that stored data on the Mizukage, the second on this man, the third on Kuro, and the fourth on Tsurino. The fifth was on Hisoka, although he had already gathered more than enough information on the boy and had ranked him useless. The sixth was a card that was, at this point, still left blank. Inoshi had intentions of filling it with information on the land of fire - Tengakure. A series of three blank cards fell behind this card, each dedicated to the random events or people that they might meet that Inoshi also wanted to collect data on.

Inoshi uploaded, instantly, the data that the man could travel at speeds that he had not even seen jounin of the village travel at. It was remarkable. It was as if he had always been there behind Hisoka. Inoshi could not imagine fighting someone of that status and power level.

However, Inoshi still did nothing, and kept himself hidden in the upper levels of the crow's nest. Not hidden, but away from immediate contact with the others.

However the kage was not far on the beach and Inoshi developed a brilliant idea. Instant jumping from the crow's nest, and performing a series of flips in order to land perfectly on the front of the boat, Inoshi leaped from the outer most point onto the hot sand. He could tell that it was extremely hot here, but he still had to ask. Instantly activating his mind ninjutsu, unique to some degree to the Yamanaka, Inoshi created a mental link between the kage and himself. Instantly, he began to speak to the kage, addressing him a respectful tone.

"Mizukage-sama, please, if you will, create a bunshin so that I may travel with you into the village. I am eager to see the insides of such a place, and wish to converse with you about something. Using my own ninjutsu, I will be able to accompany you into the interior of the village. Will you do so?"

Although no words were actually spoken, both the blonde and the kage would hear them. Although the kage would not be able to reply on the same link that Inoshi created, he was not far enough away to the point that he could not just speak with words.

Jutsu:

Name: Ishidenshin no Jutsu
Rank: E
Type: Secret Clan Technique; Ninjutsu.
Element: None.
Description: This technique allows the user to project their thoughts into the mind of another, essentially allowing mental communication. Only a target capable of this technique can reply the same way, however. The only application this has in battle is to distract the opponent’s thought processes.

The words came into his head, and instead of putting up his usual mental block, the Demon within his skull would begin to writhe. "Keep that boy out of your skull. There is only room for one voice here..The nexsstt time he comes in here, I won't let him leave." Taski would only look over his shoulder and shake his head 'No.' to the child, before disappearing with a shunshin jutsu.

Hisoka simply smirked and chuckled as Tsurino glared at him, giving him the exact reaction that he was looking for. She was obviously not in the mood for Hisoka's criticisms and he knew that she would be easy to mess with in a mood such as this, especially if Hisoka knew the right buttons to press. Out of the corner his eye he noticed the Mizukage stand which was followed by the heavy rock of the boat as it dropped anchor outside of the mainland. Hisoka glanced out at the mainland. He was in awe at how different it was from the island hidden in the mist.

He listened to the Mizukage's words before watching him leap from the boat. Hisoka was about to return his attention back to Tsurino before Inoshi jumped down from his perch to the edge of the boat. The blonde slammed his hands together creating a simple hand seal and focused intently on the exiting Mizukage. Hisoka narrowed his eyes in curiosity.... What was he up to.

However Hisoka's thoughts were interrupted by a sudden presence that appeared behind him. “Now now now, that’s not very nice. Picking on girls is not an appropriate way to pass the time. Now unless you’re in the mood for a swim until our lord and master returns, I suggest you promptly apologize.” Hisoka's eyes grew wide and his eye brows raised in surprise as an arrogant voice echoed in Hisoka's ear. He immediately recognized it as the voice of the red haired man that was several feet in front of him only a second ago. No. Less than a second ago. He was incredibly fast.

His arrogant tone irritated Hisoka beyond belief. It reminded him of his rival - Inoshi. The white haired boy's face bent into an irritated scowl as a hiss of air frustratingly escaped his lips. He quickly jumped away from the man landing several feet ahead and facing him. The man was obviously very powerful according to the stories that he was telling earlier. But Hisoka often acted without thinking. It was one of his biggest flaws. "Why do you care so much, ginger? You have thing for this chick er somethin? You seem a little old for that, creep. And I don't see why I have to apologize to anyone so get off my s***." Hisoka's words were biting and filled with arrogance that he definitely could not back up, especially against someone like the red haired man.

Sagumi balanced himself quietly and quite contentedly on the side of the boat as the scene played out before him, his attention no longer really being on the two children he was presently playing with and his eyes had wandered to the boy leaving the boat. The face of Kirigakure had changed multiple times over the course of his relatively short life, but the present “bloody mist” incarnation was something that he was increasingly finding easier to stomach and a small part of him wasn’t happy about it. But a year ago, if he saw the boy wandering off the boat and in to what was most certainly a death trap, he would have hastened to drag him back to the boat. He was beginning to embrace the thought that the universe was nice enough to weed out the undesirable bits of grass however and as he watched the boy ignore his Mizukage’s suggestion to not test the surrounding climate and to remain on the boat, Sagumi was more than willing to let him meander out in to Purgatory country and stumble upon something that would melt is bones in but moments. Unfortunately as well, it was not the only part of Sagumi that was embracing a more sadistic overtone instead of the happier go lucky child that he was.

As he heard the girl, and by extension the only interesting one on the ship speak, his eyes tilted back away from the boy and to hers as she, rather frigidly, informed him that she did not need the apology. Sagumi kept her gaze for a few moments before a friendly smile crept on his face, one that brokered understanding. Ambition and pride, if he remembered their little alleyway meeting correctly, were defining characteristics for the pretty little bone manipulator. Oh the fun innuendos to be had with that combination. Of course, he’d never get around to enjoying those innuendos because the loud and infinitely less interesting one felt the need to pipe up his own little retort and if Sagumi could get a sound in over the boy, a sigh of exasperation would be first on the docket. Instead, Sagumi’s head tilted slightly to where the boy had jumped away to, the friendly smile vanishing from his face and transforming in to a look of disinterest. The more he spoke though, the more Sagumi became interested. He wasn’t interested for reasons the boy would enjoy either. This was another instance where Sagumi was quickly becoming appreciative of the tenets the “Bloody Mist” was adopting and for all intents and purposes, this child deserved to die. If it wasn’t here, he was going to meet an unfortunate end if his attitude did not shift. Negative standouts never did last long, especially when they’re dumb enough to play with fire even after they got burned.

When the boy finished speaking, the look of disinterest on Sagumi’s face exploded in to one of boisterous laughter. Sagumi’s head flew back and everything as he cackled maniacally as if the boy had just told the most hilarious joke in the world. It was partially true, since he wasn’t especially adept at gauging age, Sagumi was only three to four years their senior. To be fair though, people did tend to die early, the loudmouth being a prime example. Sagumi finished out the ensemble with a few slaps on his knee before he finally took action. The man hopped off the edge of the ship, the hand that was slapping his knee dropping down to his side and gripping the hilt of his less iconic sword and pulling it from its sheathe in one quick motion before his body rocketed toward the boy, the sword twisting in his hand before being thrust straight for the boy’s head. Right as the bladed would connect, the weapon’s special properties kicked in as the blade faded out of tangibility as it would pass through the boy’s skull. As the tip fully cleared the boy’s body, it regained its tangibility on the other side in time to crash in to the furnished wood behind him. To the genin in the area however, it would seem as if Sagumi had vanished and reappeared with a sword through the boy’s head and only an audible thunk as the weapon stuck in the wood to explain to them what happened. He waited a few moments for the situation to sink in before speaking. The jovial tone completely gone from his voice and nothing but a deadpan, almost emotionless stare remained.

“You will learn your place, the Bloody Mist does not brook insolence such as the pitiful display you’re presenting and one of their Seven Swords tolerates even less. I don’t know who you children think you are, but you are in for a very, very rude awakening. You are in a foreign, potentially hostile country and you’re choosing to pick a fight with me. You are an idiot. I expect to hear that you apologized as directed by the next time I see your hideous, worthless face.”

The Cohort completely faded in to intangibility as Sagumi walked away from the boy and toward the door the girl had just climbed out of, his weapon moving with him and the blade passing through the side of the boy’s face as Sagumi returned it to its sheathe. Taski would most likely be a while before he returned and the Sumashuu tired of the scenery, he had seen it before. Sagumi’s jovial, carefree smile was again on his face as he nodded to the Kaguya before passing her and heading below deck, leaving the children to sort out just how they should be behaving when on an assignment in a foreign land that count break out in to war at the drop of a hat. If they didn’t sort out the correct answer, well, they were the bloody mist. Taski had forgiven less.

Spoiler:
